Bad Bad Blogger

Ahhhh. I am a Bad, Bad, Blogger. I really need to figure out how to make myself do this every week. It has been over a month. The truth is that last month (September)  I was  super busy with yet another contest. This time it was the Studio's Birthday Bash. I entered the Layout Artist Competition,
and Guess what?

I came in second place! Whoo Hoo! I am still dancing around the house. I even added a mop to my happy dance this morning, as the house desprately needed some extra attention. So why am I so happy with second place? Well because I WON a spot on the CT for the Studio!  I feel pretty good about this. Last year I was cut just before the finals, so winning a spot this year feels really great.
Here are the pages I made for the 4 rounds of competition.

The first kit we used was Black Holes by Nibbles & Scribbles
I used photos of my son Dallas to create this spacey page.
The second week was a bit different than what they had ever done before. It was a template challenge. As many of you know I love to create templates, but I love to use them too. The challenge for me on this was to keep the integrity of the template, but still make it my own. This is definately one of my most favorite pages I have made. The kit we were to use was any one or combination of kits from the round 1 or round 2 designer contest. I used Jillberts round 2 entry called Under the Harvest Moon. The template pack is a wonderful set of templates by Aimee Harrison called Opposites Attract
Here is my page using photos of my little Angelina
Week 3 we got to work with a kit that went together so well for me. As soon as I saw it I knew exactly what photos I had to use. My grandprincess Kaydence was a perfect fit for this gorgeous colab by Carin Grobe Designs, and Janet B. designs. The kit is called Indian summer.
I had so much fun playing with this I made a bonus page too.
Making it this far was so exciting to me, but when it was announced that I made it to the finals I was so happy. The kit we used in the final round was theStudio's September Mega kit called Old School. This was a bit of a challenge for me.  Once I found the right photos using one of my niece who is now in High School, and one an old class photo of my nephew, the pages came together so well.

So this is the story of how I became a CT member of theStudio! Also during the month they ran some extra challenges and one of them was a template exchange. We all know I cant resist a good template exchange. So here is my FREE template and some pages I made with it.
My Pages
Kit : Natures Beauty Add On by Scrappy Cocoa
Kit: Sweet Stuff by Snips & Snails Designs
And finally here is the FREEBIE TEMPLATE!

Enjoy, and I hope I can get my act together and see ya again soon.
