YAY I did it. I finally finished my second kit. I really loved the colors of the Color Challenge at the Studio this month. So soft, and yummy. I had a lot of fun with the challenge of getting special elements in this one. First as the papers came together, I realized that the little 'white Rabbit' that showed up about two weeks ago would look so pretty in this kit. So I put the kids on the lookout for the bunny to return. It didnt take too long.... the very next day she showed up. She posed for the camera. We have a ton of wild animals here, but rabbits are not native to the rain forest. We figure she was probably somebodys pet, and ran away. She loves to play with the kids. They chase and she hops away, but not at full speed. If she gets too far ahead she will stop and turn around & wait for them. then hop off again. When she has had enough she simply hops through the fence into the forest.

I used this as an inspiration and tried to blend realistic with non realistic items. I hope it looks okay?

A little off topic rant. I am very frustrated with the wait time of 4 shared, but media fire will NOT let me upload this file. That is why at the moment I only have it available this way. Sorry for any inconvienience.

Enjoy your kit.
Take a sec and leave me a note so I know if you like my little give aways.

So I really cant stand not having a Freebie on my blog. Thus the quick turn-around time between posts. I was making a LO with a Marie H template (Deco cut #4) and a beautiful kit (Whimsy) from Designs by Krista. The kit went so well with some photos I had of my little Angel, I knew I had to do a two page spread. So using the inspiration of Marie H I created the second page. And well.....I loved it so much I had to turn it into a template for you all too!

Here is the page I created with the Marie H Template.

Here is the page I created my template from.

and finally HERE is my gift to you, A FREE Template.

enjoy your gift & check back again. I am almost finished with my next color challenge.

Ahhh Time to update again. I dont have any freebies this time though. I have just been so busy. And with the hubby home for the next two weeks I am not too sure how much time I will have. I have been busy working on my new color challenge [kit] and want it to be better than the last. I am hoping to have it ready for everyone very soon PLUS I have added two mor CT duties to my list. One for the Sunflower Scraps Boutique, and the other one is for Snips & Snails Designs. I am so excited about both.
I have a couple of LOs that I created for Snips & Snails but I cant post them till the beginning of next month when the kit releases. I will however say that this kit is fantastic. Watch for it to be released at the beginning od September.

I created LOs for SSB and have been really happy with them both. I used a kit by a designer that I have never worked with before, and her stuff is fantastic.

The designer is Darkmoons Dream, and the kit I used is called Summer Candy.

Rebecca of Twin Mom Scraps had another new winner out called Good Morning

And Sunny Day Scraps has teamed up with Sweet Tomato to create a FABULOUS kit called

And Finally Matilda Designs has a brand new kit called

Check back again soon and I will try to have a new gift for yall next time. I promise.

Thanks for looking.
See ya soon.

Really Quick Update

I am just stopping by to let everyone know that I may be a little less visible for a couple of weeks. My wonderful husband is going on vacation on the 15th. So I will probably be spending some more time with him. I did however want to share what I have been doing.
First things first, I have been trying to follow a blog train, and have discovered the wait time for 4 shared is rediculous! I feel bad that that is how I have been offering my freebies. So I am "moving" to media fire (at least for now). My older gifts are still on the old site, and if time & patience allows I may move them over, but for now I only have 2 offers at media fire. One is my Celebrate template I am offering from my last post.
The next is one I am thrilled to share.  I decided to try my hand at creating a little mini kit. Now keep in mind that this is my Very First attempt at creating anything. I used some online tutorials to create the textures, and found some great CU items to work with. I used the color palette from the Color Challenge at SSB.
I hope you all enjoy my first little mini.

So Soft

and here is my Celebrate Template

Thursday, August 4, 2011

Hi all, I have been kept super busy lately, and with the internet being upgraded again & again we have had some spotty service. Hopefully it has been taken care of now, but I am not holding my breath. One of the hazards of living in a developing area right on the beach. lol.
I have had a great week though.  I found out on the Ginger Scrap site that one of my most favorite designers was having a CT call. I always keep 2 or 3 spots open for the just in case so and so has a call. Well on that list was Marie H. If you havent seen her stuff check it out. It is gorgeous! She is also a Template genius. She is the main reason I have become addicted to templates. Not using them, which I LOVE doing. But creating them also. Can anyone see where this is going? I hope so.
Well I am not Marie, but I think I have inproved in the template I make. I have learned how to save seperate PNG layers (it really is more work, but it is worth it, so everyone can use them) and I think the quality is much better than it was. BUT I will let YOU decide that.
What I have for you today is not one, but 2 new templates. One is the template challenge I am hosting over at SSB .

Here is the preview of the template.  I called this one Celebrate because I am trying to remind myself that birthdays (mine) are a time to celebrate. lol.

Please feel free to play along with me too. I would LOVE to see what you create with this.

Here is what I made with this one.  I really am happy [read with sarcasm] to turn 40. UGH!

and if this isnt incentive enough to get yo to come back, I have ANOTHER freebie tooj ust keep scrolling through some of my favorite LO's from the past few weeks. : D

I had so much fun with this LO. My sweet little Angel. When she saw this she asked whats inside the box, I told her it a treasure. What do you think you are hiding in the treasure chest - she replied seashells. Love little kids.

kit used is called Seaside treasures by Sunny Day Scraps.

The next 3 were made for the Christmas in July at the Studio. I got some great winter kits (even though I dont have winter anymore) I found some old photos of past winters to scrap.
Kit used in the first two is an adorable kit by Let Me Scrapbook called Its Snow Cold

This was the final outcome of the PS hosted by MIN of Delli Scraps. Love that lady.

Now believe it or not but THIS was Crhristmas Eve 2009. I love Brasil !

The kit used for this one is called Beachtime from Designs by Krista

The next one is a kit from Twin Mom Scraps and it is soooo cute.
It is called Fairytale Forest, and it is A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!

This one is a personal favorite. It was a scraplifft challenge at Ginger Scraps, and it is one of my most favorite people in the world (my grandbaby). The kit was super fun to use too its called Tea & Honey from Pretty in Green, and you can pick it up free if you register at GS you will find this and a whole lot of other good stuff in the Welcome Wagon. If you havent yet you should check it out.

AND finally what you have been scrolling for My other freebie is another Template. This one just click on the image to go to the DL. I have included Tif, PSD, and seperate PNG layers

Here is what I made using this It is called Schools In by Twin Mom Scraps.
You can also pick up the word art from my previous post.

I sure hope you will all enjoy my templates.
